I was being considered for a job working on a HTTYD comic, which naturally was an AMAZING OFFER. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the job but I was still super flattered to have even been approached for it! These are some of the sketches that I sent off for consideration. I was super worried about likenesses, so they’re a little on the stiff side, but I’m still overall pretty pleased with them.

Gotta keep working! I aim to nail the next opportunity that comes along :D

I want to start a webcomic but I dont know where to start... A tutorial please?

Oh man

Alright first of all - Thanks for reaching out! I’m going to put it out there that this is my first officially run web comic series that’s lasted past the 3rd update. I don’t consider myself a professional in the field so I can only talk on behalf of my own personal experience with getting things up and running. I’m sure everyone has their own method of doing things so don’t feel pressured to do it the way I did it. I set this up because I know my own personal work ethic and I know how to make things easier for me in the long term. So with that being said, here’s a pretty basic run down of how I got things going!

Pretty great advice! I really wish I’d had a guide like this when I started out!

Also, Agents of the Realm is pretty sweet and you should check it out!

Fathoms of the Sky, my very first finished longer-format comic, is now available on Gumroad! It’s been available in printed form for quite some time now, but shipping it anywhere is kind of ridiculously expensive, so selling it as a PDF via Gumroad seemed the right way to go. It’s for sale at $2+ (that is, pay what you want, but at least two dollars), and to sweeten the deal it not only contains the entire comic, but also extra material such as fanart by talented friends of mine, as well as concept sketches, two exclusive illustrations made only for the Gumroad-edition, as well as the keys for the two fictional alphabets I created for the story, so that you can decipher the words on street signs and such. Reblogs are much appreciated. :)

Fathoms is a wonderful comic, and a complete steal at $2+. If you’re looking for something whimsical and beautiful, definitely check it out!
