I’m starting the 30 day monster girl challenge for warm ups. Uh, too bad this took me forever! Maintenance is working in my aparment and they cut the power a couple of times with no warning. 

Day 1: Harpy. I thought of Phineus in Jason and the Argonauts, constantly tortured by harpies taking his food. In the movie they were blue and bat like…neh.

I decided I’m not going to color these. Color is always the most agonizing thing, and I know if I tried implementing it for every one, That’s all I’d do all day. Ain’t nobody got time for that!

This is awesome! Stunning inks aside, I really like that you didn’t take the pin-up approach that I  a lot of people tackling this challenge took. I’m looking forward to seeing more!

Dathan Auerbach asked me to make a set of cards to use as kickstarter prizes as he raises money to get his book published. As you can see, it’s already way past its goal! 

I told him I’d do it under the condition that  I get to re-do the Balloons illustration.

I might clean it up later. 

I think I love everything about this. Also, check out the kickstarter it’s part of, looks pretty awesome!
